Happy International Education Week 2015! This year IEW is celebrating cross-cultural exchange and global education initiatives, something that all of AYA and its participants truly value. We have asked our students to participate by sharing their culture with their community through organizing a cross-cultural potluck lunch, create a presentation or video about their home country or explore international aspects of music, dance or art and share with their local communities.
Check out our exchange students celebrating IEW 2015!
Our exchange students have prepared display boards, powerpoints and Prezi presentations. The students also prepared dishes from their countries, so everyone can have a taste of the world. They also dressed in traditional clothing and displayed their flags at school. It’s an exciting time for the exchange students and it’s a great time to build those leadership skills! – Terri, Local Coordinator, New York
We are so proud to see our exchange students sharing their cultures with their schools, peers and communities! Please share your photos with us on Facebook and use #IEW2015. If you would like to learn more about IEW 2015 and how you can participate, check out their website, here.
