AYA Local Coordinator Appreciation Week: Meet Cindy from Missouri!

April 19, 2016 AYA Leave a Comment

Local Coordinator Appreciation Week is underway! Say hello to Cindy J., an Academic Year in America LC from the Kansas City area! We hope you’ll enjoy the heartfelt words one of her students had to say about her and why she feels Cindy is an asset to her time in the U.S.

Some of Cindy and Aileen’s many adventures!

My LC, Cindy in Missouri, is a great Local Coordinator! She is always there and checking for problems and helping me out in any way she can. She invited me to go with her on a trip over spring break and we had a great time together. I enjoy every minute with her and wish I would have a longer break.

She includes me in her events and organizes a lot, like going to a soccer game in the stadium, a trip to an adventure park, the St. Patrick’s Parade, and of course her amazing trip to San Diego over spring break. The trip was awesome and I could not have imagined a better break. She, as well as my family and friends, makes my time here in the United States unforgettable.

She is such a lovely person and is doing so much for her exchange students, including me. Her offering, effort, and success every day is awesome! – Aileen Mueller, AYA Student from Germany

We are so grateful for Cindy and all of our Local Coordinators nationwide for putting so much heart and soul into forming bonds and positive relationships with our AYA students.
