Exchange Students Celebrate Autumn Across America

October 11, 2016 AYA Leave a Comment

Fall fun and holiday celebrations include Thanksgiving and Halloween, birthdays, harvest fairs and more. Many of these events are special “firsts” for AYA students, like the following submission from AYA student Fernanda from Brazil:

Trick or Treating for the First Time!

I had an amazing time during my stay in America! I was living in Plainfield, Indiana and I had many unforgettable experiences. I made so many good friends that I will keep in my heart forever. This picture was taken of my friends and I trick or treating together. It was a very special moment for me because it was my first Halloween. We don’t celebrate Halloween in Brazil. I had an amazing time and I will never forget that night!

To appreciate the many ways AYA students and families get into the spirit of autumn in America, check out these blast from the past images of folks enjoying the season!
