October 16, 2017 AYA 2 Comments

AYA family reunion in SpainSharmalene, a former AYA student, shared a couple of great photos along with this heartwarming update following a reunion with her American host family this past summer, in her home country of Spain.

“When I left the USA, I was incredibly sad to leave my host family and friends. They became an important part of my life while I was an exchange student, and they still are a part of my life once I came back to my country.

I feel really lucky to be able to be part of the Carpenter family. I will forever be thankful for everything they did for me, and when I left their home to come back to Spain, we knew that wasn’t a goodbye, just a see you later.

Sharmalene in SpainWe were right! This summer we met again! They all came to Spain and visited me and my family! We spent a lot of time together and had a great time. Now I know I will see them again someday.”
