It’s that time again for our students to nominate their Local Coordinator (LC) as AYA’s LC of the Month. We ask our students each month to send in their nominations and share with us why their LC deserves to be our LC of the month. This month we have a new LC, Bridget from Alabama who has been nominated by her student, Caroline from Brazil to be our LC of the Month!
Bridget joined AYA in January 2015 and her one year anniversary with AYA is just around the corner. We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with her! Bridget is an Adjunct History Professor with a passion for global education and this really shines through her involvement with our program.
Caroline from Brazil shared with us why Bridget is our LC of the month:
Bridget is my LC and she deserves to be AYA’s LC of the Month because she really cares about her exchange students. She makes it a point to have a relationship with me and check in to see how my exchange year is going. It’s really nice to have this support and guidance from my LC. Another reason why she should be LC of the Month is because she plans activities for her students to get together who live in the area. I really enjoy these cluster events and it’s been a wonderful way for me to meet other exchange students and I even gained a new friend from Germany!
Congrats Bridget! Your constant support and caring personality has really made a difference this month and we are so happy to have you as our LC of the Month!
