Best of #WeAreAYA: November Edition | Academic Year in America (AYA)

Every month we are reminded of the amazing community of students, host families, and Local Coordinators who love to share exchange year experiences on social media! This month our students took part in so many activities across the United States, and we are seeing so many milestones unfold and memories being made: International Education Week (IEW), Thanksgiving, and more! Here some of our favorite photos posted on social media using the official Academic Year in America hashtag, #WeAreAYA, in the month of November.

Representing 3 countries in this picture: USA (my Hijab, veil and Niagara Falls), Canada (Niagara Falls), and Indonesia (Flag) Thank you to my cool host family to make one of my USA dreams come true! ❤❤ #klyes #binaantarbudaya #weareAYA #AFSeffect #exchangeourworld #myexchangeyear #niagarafalls #newyork #canada #indonesia #lenterakinantinusantara

My favorite memory so far is to present my home country to American students. Most of them don’t know where Thailand is. I’m so proud in myself, I did 8 classes during International Education Week and I will do more as many as I can. A lot of people ask me many questions about Thailand and many of them ask weird questions. I felt so glad to talk about my country and to share culture with them. In the presentation, I told them about Thai flag, the king, showed how to greeting in Thai ( sawatdee) , showed how to Dance ,etc. I had so much fun this week ! It’s such a great opportunity for me. And It was made my day when they told me they want to go to Thailand with me. I really happy that they enjoyed to learning about Thailand. International Education Week is the best experience I’ll never forget.✨💓😉🇺🇸🌈 #YESisIEW #afs55 #IEW2016 #AYA #KLYES #icexjourneyinusa #weareaya
