AYA Local Coordinator Appreciation Week: Meet Candace from South Carolina!

April 26, 2016 AYA Leave a Comment

Our Local Coordinators can often be found going above and beyond to help the students in their communities. They build bonds and lasting relationships with their students and genuinely care for their well-being. Candace S. from the Myrtle Beach area is no exception to this observation.

Candace and Rebecca during her first week in the U.S.

My LC, Candace, is the person I always know is there for me! I really love her and am going to be so sad when I have to say goodbye. She isn’t just an LC, she is a friend! She works a lot and spends her free days with me even if she doesn’t have to. She shows me things and takes me places. I love to spend time with her and I’m always looking forward to the next meeting. She is the best and I want her to get recognized for what she does for me. I love her! – Rebecca Widenmeyer, AYA Student from Germany
