AYA Students Visit Niagara Falls

Visiting state and National Parks is a great way for everyone, exchange students and Americans alike, to explore the enormous beauty and diversity of the United States. New York’s Niagara Falls State Park—America’s oldest state park—is a phenomenal destination for visitors to explore the history, geography, innovation and culture of the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area.

Local Coordinator Cindy A. shared the following about a trip to Niagara Falls she organized last year for a group of lucky AYA students from Ohio.

A Trip to Niagara Falls

I took my students for a fun filled day at Niagara Falls! We first went on the Maid of the Mist, which took them directly into the middle of the Canadian Falls. Then, I believe, the highlight for the students was the Cave of the Winds. We walked along the roaring American Falls. They were completely drenched from the water! It was an unforgettable trip for all of them!

Thanks to Cindy for sharing this with us. It looks like everyone enjoyed the trip!

AYA Local Coordinators, like Cindy, play a pivotal role in supporting high school foreign exchange programs, and we cannot overstate how much they are appreciated. Students, families, schools and communities benefit from their efforts to coordinate a network of support for all members of the AYA foreign exchange community. Local Coordinators have our sincere gratitude; thank you all.

We hope you enjoy these stories as much as we enjoy sharing them. Please leave us a comment or reach out via social media—and keep the stories, pictures and videos coming. We love hearing from you.
