LC of the Month: Colleen R.

Colleen Reid local coordinator academic year in america cultural exchange

Congratulations to LC of the Month, Colleen!

Each month we ask our students for nominations. Here’s more from one of her students, Minona from Germany, on why Colleen is such an exemplary Local Coordinator.

Colleen plans get-togethers each month with her exchange students at her home for ‘Topic Talks,’ where we get to talk about different topics. It’s an opportunity for us to share things with each other, and what we have been up to during the year and it’s always very helpful and interesting. I think these gatherings are a great idea because I get to meet new people who are in the same situation as I am and we can share our experiences and ideas. She also serves snacks and homemade cakes! After the get-together I feel more motivated to try new things! I am happy to have her as my LC and I want to thank her for what she has done for me!

Visit our website to find out more about becoming a Local Coordinator, hosting a student, or how you can refer someone you think would be a great addition to our team!
